Ever since writing and performing a poem at sister Nicky's wedding in 2004, I've had loads of fun fun fun performing poetry! (you can read that wedding poem here)
I found a great open mic poetry night at the Tin Angel in Coventry, run by Heaventree Poets, and have gone on to perform at events including:
Big Poetry Day, Tamworth
Literary Festival, Oxford
Six of the Best, Birmingham
Tongues and Grooves, Southsea
before setting up the PureandGoodandRight poetry open mic evening in Leamington Spa
I am now working with Birmingham Poet Laureates Richard Grant, a.k.a. DreadlockAlien, and Giovanni "Spoz" Esposito, delivering schools poetry slam workshops across the Midlands.
